Snow-Vole!

“Out for a trip in the snow little vole? I don’t think so!” I was sledding with my adventure buddy, Kenna(Yes, Kenna who named a lizard KEVIN.) and her father and brother. I was on about my 3rd to last trip, when I almost ran something over! It appeared to be a large Rhino-Beetle! I stopped the sled with great difficulty and saw it again! It was scamperig over the icy snow, too fast for a beetle. I got closer and thought it was a mouse, then saw it close up and put my sled in front of it, it was a tiny Vole! It crawled into the sled, looking cold, I pulled off one of my thick brown gloves and allowed the rodent to climb inside. I asked Kenna’s dad what we should do and he said, “Why don’t you let it go in the woods back there?” So me and Kenna broke the icy crust near the edge of the forest and dug 4 inches down to the dirt where I emptied the Vole out of my glove. He scurried aroun for a while, then he dug a hole and was gone faster than the speed of light. Unfourtunaly, I couldn’t get any good pictures!  After this adventure I went and crashed into a fence neck-first! And now, its snowing AGAIN! So much for summer vacation. If you’re confused over what a Vole is, here is a picture from Google.
