We kept thinking it would actually form a "head" (b/c our lettuce was "head lettuce"). Sadly, they never formed heads and a few flowered. It's our lesson this year. Pick them when the leaves are nice and large enough for a salad. Your tomatoes look good! Yum! We have about 5 plants.. half are cherry and grape and the other half are the larger varieties.
